When the engine gets to operation temp she will not stay idling in neutral. Runs great otherwise. Also i need to replace the t-stat and the bolts won't budge. Any suggestions??

Thanks in advance.

Hello Bruce and :welcome: to iBoats.

Won't stay idling in neutral sounds like it might be a carb issue.

To remove stuck bolts can be tricky. First I would give them a sharp hit with a drift and hammer. If that doesn't shift them, I would drill the heads off and work from there...

you could spray them with PB blaster and let the sit and soak up the penetrating oil :)

Kroil is good for stuck bolts. Soak well and let sit overnite. Using a good fitting wrench, tap gently counterclockwise. If they don't loosen, tap gently clockwise -- and then try counterclockwise again. Sometimes a bit of heat from a micro torch on the bolt head will loosen up any compounds on the threads. Make sure no gasoline around with the torch going.

Hi, mercury 2 strokes are extremely simple to diagnose and repair in your case the first step would be....

With PLASTIC PLIERS ONLY remove ignition leads one at a time at mid throttle and listen for changes if you pull one off and you DO NOT notice a noise change then your running on one cylinder....

If it passes your first step then your only other option would be idle circuit in your carburettor

GOOD LUCK

And for the seized bolts you need to get some heat thru them... Oxy
