Hello All
Looking at a new to me boat that has 1997 130hp Evinrude on it, I have heard over the years that Johnson/Evinrude had a few bad years as far as engine quality was this one of the years ? Have owned two Evinrudes in the past a 1976 135hp and a 1988 110 hp other than having to bypass the VRO and mix gas on the 110 they have been very good and dependable motors. Any info/feedback on the "newer ones"??? Boat shopping is fun but will drive you crazy this is the second go round first deal didn't work out ,I'll hit on one soon....Thanks.....J
