1996 Yamaha Wave venture Question.

I just purchased a great 1996 Yamaha Wave Venture 1100. The Ski runs fantastic however after cleaning it up I noticed that there was a Hose or oil line of some sort that was loose and not connected to anything. There was also a little oil in the bildge. The line hooks to the Clear Tubes under the rear seat. Does anyone know where this line is suppose to be connected?
I cannot find these tubes on any parts diagram anywhere. Any help would be appreciated . Attached Picture.

Vent pipes?, I think the hose may attach to battery vent but not 100%. Maybe the battery does not need one.

I agree with lexer. It's a battery vent hose.
