Don't dog me out to much. I have always had runabouts or bow riders, but decided I wanted something I could fish off of. I have 2 questions about my boat. Next to the shifter, and in the back of the boat there is a switch that says up/dn, I here something trying to move or pump of something, can someone tell me what these switches do? Also, when the key is turned on, the volt meter pegs out, and also the trim meter pegs down? Any ideas or suggestions. Thanks, Tim

Re: 1996 Stratos 210FS

The Up/Down switch's are probably power trim switch's. The front one can be used for trimming the engine while under way, the rear one is used for raising the engine while on the trailer.

The fact that your voltage meter "Pegs" probably is a faulty guage, while on the other hand, the trim guage should be in the down position if the engine is in the down position as well.

Hope this helps!

It Also Could Be A Jack Plate Trim. Up Takes The Prop Closer To The Surface Of The Water Down Lower The Pro Down The Whole Motor Move Up Or Down.
