looking for yalls thoughts and input on this motor. Under the cowling most of the bolts are corroded, besides this making it a pain to remove those bolts if need to work on it is that a deal breaker already? Guess I'm saying if it's that corroded on the outside makes me wander what the innards look like. Besides cosmetics this motor runs perfect, and has between 120-130 psi on all cylinders. I understand closer to 140 the better but I beleive 120-130 to be great for its age. Guy is asking 1500 for the motor, comes with controls and jack plate. Everything works including the power tilt and trim. I've owned nothing but old evinrudes all my life, and blown up my fair share. No experience with Nissan/tohatsu. Motor would be for my 16 foot skiff I'm rebuilding.

Looks typical. But the price is too high. Way too high. WP kits are available, and the carb kit, as well as most carb bits can be had, so it will run for a while if given proper TLC.

Well that's why I'm looking for advice and input. What's a fair price? Comes with hydraulic jackplate and the controls.

And I'm glad to hear there is water pump kits and carb parts available.
