I live in the North East far from the ocean. I just looked at a 1996 Key West 1900 DC being sold privately from an individual who moved here from Florida. This is an unusual boat here. I can't find much info on it. It has 81 hours on the hour meter. There is a 150 hp Mariner on it. Everything seems to be in perfect condition. Price $6000. Any advice would be appreciated. Anything I should check for? What is the reputation of this boat? I plan on using it on a very large freshwater lake for fishing and skiing. THANKS

Since I just purchased a used 2005 Key west 20 CC I am naturally very happy with the boat. In Fl. Keys they have a good rep. partially because they can run in shallow water and also light ocean. Mine has a 115 Yam 4 stroke and runs about 37mph WOT with Bimini up. Your boat would be considerably faster. My only concern would be if boat is coming from Fl. it was probably run in salt water. Not sure about pricing. Good luck!

Definetly a good boat if it was taken care of. No wood design stands up to the weather and would work great in large lakes. As long as the impeller was replaced and the motor flushed, it shouldn't matter. That boat has alot of room and can get into shallow water unlike some 19 footers. Hope this helps.

I own a 1992 1900DC and when I bought it, the plaqard displaying the capacities was missing. Does anyone know the capacities (persons/pounds)? I bought mine for $4000 in 2007 and I love it. I have a 120 Johnson on it and it runs great. Use it in the intracoastal rivers in Brevard County.
