I recently inherited a 1900CC Key West. Does anyone know if the boats water fuel separator comes with the boat or if it was added on after market? Wanted to see if anyone knew the size of the filter if it is a generic water separator that came standard with that model.

Also, after replacing the water/fuel separator, what is the advice on adding a fuel additive that combines the water?

Thanks!! ACE

Most likely it was added after- though not a bad idea. I would take the existing filter, ot the entire unit off and bring it to a marina service dealer. I would also consider a unit (racco) with a clear bulb at the bottom for visual inspection.

as far as adding fuel treatment- well, I don't think it will ever hurt you-especially with ethanol gas. Is your tank fiberglass and have the hoses been changed? research this problem waiting to happen with the fiber tank and old hoses.

good luck
