I found a 1996 Kawasaki 750 sts that the owner had diagnosed to find a blown head gasket. He is selling it for $600 and was wondering if it is worth the price. What is the ball park price for worse senario....engine replacement? Are these good jetski's. I find them to be 1-foot longer at 11' than other 3-seaters at 10'.

Thankis in advance for your input.

head gaskets are simple and common, the engine is a bit slow in a 3 seater but the price seems fair,

i liked the 95 sts i had. lasted quite awhile for a 2 stroke before needing a rebuilt engine. if ya do get down to a whole engine, sbt probably has one for ya. that 750's been in a lot of skis and is plentyfull. if it truly only needs a head gasket, better yet.
i don't know about slow. perhaps, but for the era and a 3 seater. mine did 40+ and i waterskied behind it. it is a fun ski too. stable, yet playfull.
i think mine was 10' long. and it was certainly shorter than my fx140 that claims 11'. good luck.......

the specs show it at 11 feet but I bet the did the old trick of measuring around the rub rail// the hp is 83 so it should be a mid 40's top speed

I have a 98 750, don't know what model, but i think it's a two seater. It only goes about 35-40. Is there something wrong? I am a heavy guy 240lbs. What can i do to get it going a little better? P.S it has been in storage for 8 years, and i just got it running again.

if the pump is good try rebuilding the carbs ,, if they are old they will cause it to go a lot slower than it normally would
