Repaired leaky carbs and hoses and installed water pump kit. Upon restart of the motor and a few adjustments to the carbs and linkage per OMC Manual the lower cylinder would not fire all the time. Coil checked good and appeared to be power pack which I replaced. Problem still occurs although not as frequent. Any suggestions, and what is the easiest way to check Stator and Trigger. When linkage, carb and timing advance settings recommended by OMC manual were set the RPM's were around 1600. The only way to decrease the RPM's was to back off the low idle screw which retards the timing, is this correct. Any help appreciated.

well the first thing i would have done was swapped the questionable coil, with one of the other working one, and see if the problem followed the coil, or stayed with the cylinder, and power pack. try that before going any further.

Thanks for the reply. Swapped wires on coil pack and does switch cylinders. Coil Pack reads 300ohms on both legs. Only seems to drop lower cylinder at low RPM's and when it does it stops after reaching operating temp.
