Where is the Tachometer signal coming from on my engine?

I can't find it in any of the electrical drawings.

The Tachometer does not register RPM's but I am not sure if it is the Tach or the wiring.

I have been systematically replacing wires due to corrosion.
I need to check continuity from the engine to the tach, where do I start?

Tach signal comes from the stator. The same leads (yellow) also feed the rectifier/regulator and the lead for the tach is normally made there. The most common problem for a tach to stop working is shorted diode(s) in the rectifier. Test procedure is given in your manual.
