I have a Johnson 48 Spec.. Starts and runs great up to 3400 rpms then chocks out. i can kill and restart and runs good again up 3400 rpms. Has new plugs, carb. kits and new prop. could it be techometer or hub slipping? Or what?
GS,<br /><br />Is this rig new to you? Does it feel like it is reaching full rpm/power. If so, your tach. could be the problem.<br /><br />What shape is your prop. in?
Prop is new. This is our 2nd year to own this boat and motor. it is a 96. We bought used. We know it is not reaching the power speed that it was. Techometer seems to be working properly.<br /><br />GS Cook
