All I can tell you is I paid $3200 for my 1999 50 horse a couple of years ago. Tiller, w/ power trim and tilt. Bought from a dealer and for that price, he installed it on my boat. It replaced a '83 Evinrude 35 and I am very happy with it.
So it sounds like a fair deal.
