Hi,
Im new to the forum here so if I posted this in the wrong area please excuse me. I am looking at a 1996 Glasstron SE 170 with a 1998 Johnson 115 HP engine and the owner wants 4500 for the package with trailer and cover....I went to nada.com and the book value says 4500....If you buy a car at nada value, you paid too much, is it the same with boats? The boat is a 17 foot outboard and the red has faded on the sides, but is in very good condition...what do you guys feel a fair price would be? He paid 6k for the boat and 7k for the motor new...

I saw a boat just like this w/ the 90 hp on it sell for 7k. I bought a 1995 w/ a 90 on it for 4500.
