We bought this boat a few months ago and have been updating it since it was stored outside for a couple of years. It started up fine and ran fine when we bought it. We have been detailing the trailer issues, and tune type issues before taking it out on the waters. So we drained the old gas in the tank yesterday. Put in new gas and filter. Tried to fire it up. It started but then quit. The pump seems to be a little on the warm side for trying a few times to fire up the engine. It won't start up now. Any help in trying to figure out what is wrong? When the gas was being removed, I used a manual pump to suck it out. It did this until nearly all out. gas and air bubbles was coming thru the lines as I got to the end of what gasoline was remaining in the tank. Suggestions??

If you tried starting it with no fuel in the system (Filter & lines) after cleaning the tank, you may have damaged the pump by running it dry. It's best to fill the fuel filters before installing.
Might put some gas in the filter and give it a try.
