I have just installed a 1996 DT 100 and have a question about the overheat/oil warning system. Is there any sort of self test when the key is turned on ie warning buzzer beep or monitor light flash. My aftermarket manual is not much help on the system operation just the different componet test.
I'm new to suzuki, the old motor was a 1980 merc and I'm playing catch-up with the technology advancments.
Thanks

my dt 75 only sounds when theres a problem. get the suzuki manual for your motor. it will explain how system works. but you can ground temp sender wire and alarm should sound. oil level sender has different positions, remove oil tank, find sender and move it up and down with key on to see if gauge responds. its also a good idea to clean oil tank out, since this engine is new to you. as long as oil stays clean, this oil injection system works very well.

Thanks Stylesabu,
I found the actual suzuki manual at browspoint.com today and have it on the way.
