1996 88hp Johnson carburator overhaul

I am overhauling the carbs on my '96 88hp Johnson<br />Is it necessary to remove the orifices from a carb before soaking it in the carb cleaner?<br />How about the small metal plugs?...Dave

anything metal can stay in, anything NON metal.... plastic, paper gaskets, rubber, MUST BE REMOVED

I've never removed rollers and other like plastic parts, but all gaskets or rubber parts must come off.
