Boat has been sitting for the winter, I charged the battery last week (wires disconnected) and hooked up the battery today. the red wire to rectifier went up in smoke before I could get the hot lead off of the battery...
I removed the red wire from the rectifier and red smoking wire stopped.(obvious ground)
Any ideas as what could cause this as everything was fine before I put the boat away for the winter.
