What is the correct length for the shift rod on a 1996 40 hp? I messed with the length while trying to get it to align after replacing a water pump. I have forward and neutral, or reverse and neutral, or just plain neutral all visible linkage is moving correctly. <br /><br />Thanks,<br />Top
