1996 24ft chapparal electrical issue plz help

[Stumped boater]

I'am having issues with the electrical in my cabin lights, radio and cigarette lighter. I have tested the connection going to the circuits and have a good 12volt reading but when i turn the cabin light circuit on it goes down to mabey if iam lucky 5 or 6 volts and the lights or the radio will not work.

I have tried everything i can think of it might be for the last week, any help would be nice.

you have a bad connection that is causing resistance. The connection could be on either the positive or negative or even the legs on the fuses. look for anything that's corroded and clean the connections till they are shinny. (the connection is common to all items that are using the same wires as the cig lighter so I would look for a common point like the ground buss and start there)
