I have 115 hp...set all winter, tried to start it up. Started pretty easily but runs about 10 to 15 seconds then stalls..everytime. I can keep pushing the choke on the ignition and it will stay running. Or I can keep squeeezing the primer bulb and it will keep running. I went ahead and replaced the fuel pump with a new one...same results. Any ideas? Could I just have bad gas or is there something going on with the carbureto?r

Sure seems like fuel pump but you said you put a new one on. Maybe fuel filter or carbs gunked up?

Check your tank vent. Test it by removing the fuel tank cap. If the engine keeps running, the vent is closed or plugged. Also check all lines for air leaks.

Thanks...that's what I am suspecting because I sprayed all kind of carb cleaner to try and get any gunk out of the carbs.. I have a huge 26 gallon internal tank mounted in the back...wouldn't the bulb collapse if a vent was clogged?

I sprayed carb cleaner in there pretty good. I only see one in line filter right by the fuel pump. Do you think there is another somewhere? It is definetly starving for gas somewhere.

Spraying carb cleaner into carbs while running is NOT cleaning them! Its pretty much a waste of carb cleaner.Do it right or have it done.
