1995 yamaha 150hp

hi, have 1995 yamaha 150hp salt water edition outboard. p.o. never flushed motor after running in salt water for about 2 years.then motor sat for about a year. problem is motor is over heating. pulled and replaced thremostats. both were plugged with salt. now motor is still over heating and setting off temp alarm when running under load.does not over heat running at idle. does anyone know how i can flush salt out of the heads and water passages without a complete tear down? pee hole is shooting a strong stream. but water is hot coming out the pee hole after temp alarm goes off. am only running motor at dock not on muffs. thanks for any help.
