1995 tigershark compression

i have a 1995 tigershark im trying to get running i need to know what the compression should be i don't think i have enough compression if the gauge im using is right i only have 60psi per side im thinking it should be 100 to 120 anybody that can help i would really like some help thanks

Should be around 130 to 150 and within 5% of each other depending on which engine you are talking about. Which Shark are we talking about?

if they both read 60 I would be suspicious of the guage if only one read low that would be another story try the guage on an engine that runs and see what it reads

its a tigershark daytona 1995 640cc<br />suzuki engine

I was not sure my self so i went and bought a new gauge it ran 60 on mag side and 40 on pto side

if that is true it can not run I just rebuilt a sed doo engine where the rear cyl dropped to 70 and it stopped running on that cyl must have 80 min just to operate. Pull the head and see what happened you may just need a new head gasket. word of caution if you pull the head resurface it or it will most likely blow the gasket again.
