Hello,

So i bought a used boat today and noticed water coming out of the water pressure gauge fitting that screws into the block.

I emailed Mercury to get the p/n for the replacement fitting.

Does the fitting just crimp on the hose? I can't seem to pull the old fitting off the water hose that connects to the water pressure gauge.

Thanks!

It's called an 'olive', it's brass and as you screw the cover nut over it, it crushes down on the tube. So no, you can't take them off. Best thing is to measure the tube OD and go to a hydraulics shop and ask for a brass olive for a tube of that size....

Yep. Take the cut off section with you to the shop... Only need to cut about an inch off...
