I am attempting to rebuild the weber carb on my boat. I am using the edelbrock kit #1477. I have disassembled everything exactly as the instructions stated. Items 43 and 44 are the jets that appear to be under the venturi assemblies-I do not see them! I removed the venturis and the gaskets but there is nothing in there that looks like the jets. Please help-are they attached to the tubes on the venturis? Next question is that I did not remove all of the linkages and butterflies-instructions did not indicate that these need to be removed; my question is do I need to remove all of that stuff prior to soaking in carb cleaner? I did not want to disassemble more than necessary but I understand that if there are rubber seals or such the carb cleaner will damage them. Your help is greatly appreciated.

I found and removed the jets-my eye sight aint what it used to be. Do I need to remove the external linkages prior to submerging the float base into carb cleaner?
