1995 Merc Force 120 HP-Need Manual.

Son has a new to him boat. It has a 120 HP Mercury Force 120HP outboard. When looking at the Boatinfo site, I cant find a 120 manual for the outboard.
Is there a difference in the Mercury and the Mercury Force for parts and maintenance?

I strongly suggest you get a factory service manual for that motor.
Available used on ebay or possibly from a local Mercury dealer.

There were 4 different ignition/wiring systems used on the 120.

First determine year of motor.

OE000001 - OE065371 1991-1993
OE065372 - OE093699 1994
OE093700 - OE138599 1995
OE138600 - OE202999 1996
OE203000 - OE287999 1997
OE288000 - OE344999 1998
OE345000 - OE369299 1999


Models 1996 - 1999 use CDM ignition
1994-95 are essentially the same
1991-1993 had lots of model and component changes
