1995 Merc 40 hp

I have a 1995 with low compression in 1 cylinder was told motor was scrap. Merc made as a disposible model dont actual know if its a ring piston problem or cylinder bad any thoughts Thanks in advance

Well---If it is a 2 stroke, then I do not believe there is a cylinder head on that motor.-------------Everything can be repaired if you have the time and the tools.-----A shop would only make you mad with the total cost of this project.----Shops can no longer compete with modern factories spitting out new products.
