Was given this motor. Was a remote converted to tiller with electric start before I got it. Idles great, starts every time. Runs smooth up 2800 RPM (rough guess). Then drops spark on cylinders 2 and 3. Acts like it is in safe mode ie: over temp or oil pressure. Neither or bad and switches check out. Before I drop $400 on new CDI any one have experience on this? The service manual show 2 different part numbers for the motor type. Most shops I talk to are lost on topic once I explain it to the detail I have. Looking for info on different CDI's and check the conversion was done correctly.
