I have been searching the web for a VRO rebuild kit for my newly acquired 1995 Evinrude 90 HP E90TLEO crossflow outboard.

I am seeing the kits on Amazon and eBay, are there any OEM kits available?
Are there any reliable kits on Amazon or eBay?

Nothing wrong with the one currently on the boat, I just want one on hand for the future. I plan on replacing the sock (filter) in the oil tank. this motor has been very well maintained and I plan to run it as long as possible doing the proper maintenance and upkeep on it as well.

Also, any idea where I can get a factory service manual for it?

Thank you, Jeff

I found a FSM on the old eBay this morning. Should be in good shape now.

I think these VRO pumps are simple but way over priced.-----Simple to pull apart and inspect.-----Common fault is the flapper valve on the fuel piston,-------Simple to fix.----Do a compression test on the on this motor for future reference.-----There is a history of broken piston rings with these cross flow engines.

@racerone, comp is 120 all four cylinders, spark is great, lower unit oil nice and clean, no water. Speed was 37 mph by GPS with 3 Adults on board during water test at 5500 rpm, around 31 mph at 5000 rpm. And I am a big guy, 250 pounds.

Keep those compression values for future reference.----Test once a season.-----I used to rebuild these motors on a regular bases.-----Simple / easy to maintain.-----Do not require $120+ / hr dealer support.

@racerone, my thoughts exactly. Also, I can not afford $120/HR. Well maybe but I'm not going to, I'll maintain this one and use it for as long as I can.
