1995 9.9 4stroke, oil change

Hello, i have a 1995 Yami 9.9 4stroke H/T model that i recently purchased. I want to change the oil in it, is there a filter anywhere that needs to be cleaned or replaced?

Some 9.9 use a screw on filter others use a oil screen. both can be found on the lower starboard side of the powerhead. if it is filter, then simply unscrew it and replace with new filter. if it is a screen, unthread the cover from oil screen houisng, inspect the screen and o ring for wear, damage, clean screan with solvent, replace damaged screen and or o ring, and install.

You shouldn't say that. This is the best forum i've found for my boating questions. Everytime i have a problem with my boat i come in here and always find answers, either of previous posts or my own thread. There are some really good mechanics here, who really know their stuff.
