I was thinking of taking my motor to the local omc dealer beeen in bussines over 50 years to have a spring tune up done

they told me that they will
1. compression test
2. link and sink
3. new plugs
4. change all filters
5. change lower unit oil
6. set low speed idle

they said they run the motors on engine flushers and dont set the wot timing they said it was controlled eletronicly and dont worry about it

does this sound right?

anything else they should be doing in the process

total cost is 99 bucks plus parts

thanks Bob

Sounds about right. Probably another 40 bucks in parts and gearcase oil on top of the labor.

I don't know what they mean about the timing being controlled electronically. I have the same motor and the timing is set manually.

You can do all those things yourself. Buy the parts, oil and compression tester and OMC shop manual. Should save you at least 50 bucks and the experience will be priceless.
