1995 50hp Force starter flange snapped off.

The flange on the upper powerhead case where the starter mounts snapped off.<br />My welder said I would have to take the whole upper moter apart for him to try to heliarc it back together.<br />As long as I'm gonna take it apart I thought maybe I can find a replacement part from a blown engine.<br />Any help would be appreciated.

If I understand you correctly you are going to have to remove the powerhead to do this. All I can add is that you will need a new gasket that the powerhead sits on. I believe there is a hidden screw or two near the air baffle around the carb.
