I'm restoring my bass boat after sitting for 8 years (thread under restoration projects) and I'm just about ready to fire her up after going through complete hose replacements, tanks flushed/cleaned, gearcase service, etc., but have some detailed questions regarding WOT, TPS settings, timing, etc.
The last time it ran I remember having full power and it seeming to run fine, but as it sits right now, my butterflies do not currently open 100%, especially the secondary's.
I have a manual and generally speaking can read and wrench a little, but the manual does not seem to be very clear on specifying the order the adjustments for my specific model (ser #0G274312). Some details are lacking with regards to setting WOT (both physically and electronically via TPS). Also, there is a TSB (96-3) for my model that addresses TPS adjustment, but it does not specify if timing should be addressed in conjunction with the TPS adjustment and neither the manual or the TSB address how or where in the process of adjustments the physical adjustment of the WOT setting occurs. Lastly, how and when in the procedure does the oil pump synchronization come in to play?
I'm sure these may sound like stupid questions to those of you in the know, so I'll apologize in advance for my ignorance and risk the ridicule :embarassed: in exchange for some much appreciated clarity from the experts.
