Well, the wacky tach indicates my rectifier is toasted (long story). Checked out the options:

1) CDI $155
2) Sierra $189
3) BRP $279

I usually go OEM with critical parts when the cost difference is $20 or so, but $125 will pay for appx 125 miles of fuel (cruise 3mpg @ $3/gal)

Any opinions on the quality of the aftermarket reg/rects listed above???

Thanks

Angus, I bought a CDI V/R for my '98 Johnny 150HP. I found the lowest price at ebasic power

CDI is the most respected electrical and ignition component builder in the industry. I'd buy their reg/rec even if it was the most expensive.

Next time you need ignition parts for that motor keep them in mind. They make a line of components that can't be matched. By anybody.

Thank You!!!!

Chris That's where I located it for the lowest price at ebasic power

Dhadley I've seen alot of CDI stuff on equipment other than marine, just curious if their marine stuff held up well. Your endorsment seals the deal.
