1995 1175hp Intruder info req.

am looking at buying one of these , can someone just give me some brief info on them, are they good ? better than ficht?
I know they'll be thirsty but that was never gonna be a surprise..

Its a carbed 60? looper and is nothing like a ficht, and it will get fairly good fuel mileage compared to a 175 crossflow..

The '95 and '96 175 mtrs were some of the best ones OMC built. Stay away from ficht !!

I am after asking for the compression readings from the seller and have been told
"Cylinder 1- 93

Cylinder 2- 93

Cylinder 3- 95

Cylinder 4- 98

Cylinder 5- 98

Cylinder 6- 91"

Are these ok , to me they seem a bit low. ray:

The motor is about an 8 hr round trip just want to make sure it's not a waste of time, it's a good price and have been searching for something like this for a while now.

from what ive seen in workshops the ficht is terrible and lots of trouble.
It was supposed to be so good when it came out, but it was thatt bad it caused omc to go bust.
i know a few people who have had the ficht and gone backwards in age to get a better engine.

As long as it's not ficht and a carb mtr, the compression #'s look good. If you can believe the seller.
