Steering on boat went all of a sudden found out it was a rotted broken steering arm bracket first thing why was it not made rust proof crazy . I was told to repair i have to remove powerhead and several other parts that will be corroded . very expensive labor and parts repair . Is it true that a welder can fabricate one to repair it . Being a 1994 might not be worth paying 2,500 to 3,500 to repair -What a bad design thanks for your advice .
