1994 Yamaha oil injectedj outboard

I've just bid on a 17' cc with a 94 yamaha oil injected 90 HP outboard. I'm not sure when yamaha worked the bugs out of oil injection. Anyone have any opinions on this particular motor??<br /><br />Thanks!

Joe,<br /><br /> Solid motor, hands down. No real problems with Yamaha Oil injection. I believe they copied Merc's but as usual, made it better. You will not hear alot of stories about Yamaha oil injection systems failing.<br /> <br /> Good Luck,<br /><br />John from Madison, CT
