Hello my name is Bryce.
I am a heavy equipment tech so I have a extensive mechanical background. I also know that knowledge is key. so here I am to get some on boat engines.
I have a 1994 Merc 40 hp,
I have not had it long, the other day I started to loose power and it shut off. I tried to start it and the starter just hit but would not turn it over. I got it home and found that there is a tight spot in one or more of the cylinders.
Any ideas? Also some shop pics and manual pages of disassembly would be great. IE how to get it apart.
Also it would not stay in reverse.
