Can anyone tell me how to purge the gas out of my fuel lines after running my boat? It dosen't have any quick disconnects. I would also like to find an online owners manual. Thanks.

Purchase a bronze valve marked WOG (water/oil/gas) of the same size as your fuel lines and install this just prior to the hoses you wish to purge. I have one instaled between my water seperator and my hand priming bulb. After running my motor to flush it out I shut the valve and let the motor run itself out of gas thus purging the bulb to the engine of fuel. I've done this on every boat I've ever owned, never had a problem with it and it works great. Empty's the lines and drains the carb bowls preventing crud from building up.

Thanks Art. Why didn't I think of that? Guess I was just thinking they would have done something like that at the factory. I guess those most engineers don't clean their boat like us.

Re: 1994 stratos 201 pro xl

Well, had some bad luck on the river today, my 200 hp vindicator started knocking. My alarm never made a sound. It gave the usuall self check beep but nothing more. I had just stopped to help somone that was broke down when my RPMs dropped a few times and the motor started knocking. Turned it off and trolled back to the dock. I'm clueless because i was just cruisin around today around 5000 RPMs. I never even got into it and this happens. Can someone give me a reason that i should be looking into? Anyone?
