1994 seadoo sp

have a 1994 seadoo sp trying to get the shaft out is the nut that holds the prop on reverse threads also just got it running and i see oil in the bilge. where could that be coming from? a hose im thinking thanks

prop is right hand thread.. oil probably leaked from the oil tank or oil lines pretty common issue fittings on the tank love to drip oil

nope but it is the shortest one they make,, the drive shaft pulls out ,it doesn't unscrew, the impeller shaft unscrews from the impeller the shaft has splines on both ends one end slides in the pto on the rear of the engine the other end slides in the impeller.

whats the easiest way to get the shaft out ? do i have to remove the impeller shaft and impeller first for the other 1 to come out? thank

if the drive shaft is stuck in the impeller you will need to soak it with wd40 where the rubber boot is on the impeller and then use some big vice grips and tap on those to knock out the drive shaft,, then you need a tool for the impeller and you will need to understand how the bearings are set in the pump housing and the thrust bearing etc,, better get a book so you don't waste time and mess up stuff,, you can get everything you need from www.sbtontheweb.com
