Hello,

I have a 1994 Seadoo GTX and cannot seem to get it to crank. It ran good last season, but I am having problem getting it to turn over this season. Took it out of storage, charged battery (was brand new last yr), changed plugs and normal maintenance, but the engine just won't turn over. There is power on the dash and everything lights up. One thing to point out is my brother and his friends managed to flip it last yr and fill the engine compartment up with water and couldn't get it started after. My father and I cranked the water out with the plugs off and it ran fine after that.

Since I took it out of storage this yr and could not get it started, I began searching for a culprit. I removed the box that houses the fuses in the front and it did have some water in there and things were a bit wet. I checked fuses and all seemed ok. I let the box dry out in the sun and tried starting the next day, but still the engine won't crank.

Can someone please help with this issue? I have a service manual, but don't even know where to begin. What would be the order of a process of elimination?

I have read in other places that possible causes could be: bad or corroded ground, bad start/stop switch, bad or corroded solenoid, or blown 5 amp fuse.

Please, if anyone can help, it would be greatly appreciated!!!
