1994 Polaris SLT died and did not restart

I have a 1994 750 SLT. I was running OK, Had the standard problem of the being slow but after running it for a hour or so my girl turned off and it did not restart. It has started fine with no problems 4-5 times earlier in the day.

I thought I heard a slow crank but then just the CDI clicking.

I recharged the battery and even put a new one in.

Just the clicking still .

I checked the cables the seem fine. If there is a short can see it.

Changed the main fuse even though it looked OK

I am trying to determine if it is a

1) ceased engine --- I don't think so
2) bad Starter - It was fine all day.
3) starter relay or solinoid.
4) CDI
5) circuit breaker. (it did not pop.)

Starter just took a dump most likely

remove the plugs/ see if the engine turns by hand. if so engine is ok// jump across the solenoid see if starter cranks, if so solenoid is bad or wires are bad that activate it etc. if a hot jump to the starter wont crank it, you probably need a new starter
