1994 Mariner 60 Bad Compression

Could this be a bad head gasket or a full rebuild???

I have been working on a 1980 evinrude and I just got this mariner but I dont have a service manual yet. Any ideas?

Overheated ?-----No oil ??----Needs a rebuild I think.

No valves or gaskets that can cause low compression.

These are known for the sleeves to shift, thats why I pin them on a rebuild.

is the mariner a good motor worth the rebuild? I have a 1994 and I found a cheap 1988. Do you think most of the parts are the same?
