We just purchased the 1994 Ebbtide with the 350 mercuiser motor. We were going across the water at about 1/2 throttle and all of a sudden I only have idle speed. Motor is still running great. We have reverse and forward but only at idle speed.
Did we lose a gear in the lower unit or could it be something in the shifter mechanism? Maybe just an adjustment? I just wondered if I needed to take it to a mechanic or where do I start before that?
