i have a 1994 15hp gamefisher and it is so finicky. pump the bulb, choke it, pull it a couple times and it cranks and runs great. shut it off, crank it again and it runs great. shut it off and pull until you are stupid and it won't even stumble. check everything a dozen times and find nothing. 3 days later pull first time and it crannks and runs great. runs flawlessly for 5 minutes. shut it off and pull until you are stupid again for a week and then all of a sudden it cranks and runs great for a minute.. then dead again.. anyone have any ideas? carb rebuilt twice, new fuel lines and bulb, new water pump.. seconds away from becoming an anchor.....

Re: 1994 gamefisher 15hp

from what u say i can tell u its one or both of the ignition moduals under the flywheel or also called coils , mine is a 1989 gamefisher 15hp , in 1999 mine did the same thing we found out that it was a ignition modual replaced it for $119 from sears back then ran great until this yr , 3 wks ago it left me stranded duck hunting it ran fine going out , then it wouldnt even try to start to come in , had to row 3 miles , got home cleaned carb checked lines looked good , got it running ran it shut choke off it stoped pulled choke got it started again ran ok then started missing and stoped pulled until i had blisters and my face was blue would not start again , did a ignition test found i had faultly modual again this time it was the other one we didnt replace back in 1999 , i just order the part last wk they say the original is no longer avalible so u have to get part #300-850899t well i got mine and it anit gona fit sears says that its the replacement for the original so now iam stuck trying to find out what iam gona do , my dad bought this motor new in 1989 neither one of us want to just throw it out and buy another motor so iam trying to find a way to fix mine thats why iam on this website and happen to find ur post , and yeah i cleaned my carb like 5 times thinking that was the problem well good luck let me know what u find any help would be great
