Ok, kind of a unique situation and trying to remedy what I have done so far.

The nylon plug on top of the water jacket was broke and pretty much flat. I wanted it out so I drilled an appropriate size hole right in the middle after tapping and was going to use a screw extractor to get it out. The extractor sunk in fine (while drilling in reverse),..but the grip end of the extractor got to where it wouldnt grip any more (rounded off).

So in the process of trying to remove the extractor out of the nylon plug, it broke.

So now what I have is nylon plug still in the hole as it was, with a middle hole drilled and the extractor broke off down in that hole.

I still want the plug to come out, I guess it seized.

one question is, I dont mind drilling it out enough to just run a tap through it to remove plastic nylon remnants, but if some of that crap gets in the water jacket, will it flush out when its ran in water?

also, any other ideas of how to make this situation better?

Would have worked to drive a flat screwdriver into it, the turn it out. Been there done that.

Removing thermostat should give you enough access to remove any plastic shavings.

Then run the engine with the thermostat assembly removed to flush it out .
