I'm looking into purchasing a 1994 Crestliner Pro Am 170 with a 115 Yamaha and a Shorelander trailer. It appears in pretty good shape, no scrapes or dings on the bottom, some dock rubs on the sides. They are taking offers and say the "NADA Average retail price" is $6,800. Has anyone had any experiences with these boats, good or bad? Is this Yamaha 115 a good moter? I will be fishing with my 5 year old son on lakes of varying size. I want something that is deep enough I won't have to worry about him all the time.

http://www.nadaguides.com/ That is the nada web site to check the value but... supply, demand and how much the bank is trying to make to cover the loss.

Don't believe the widow story, don't believe any "story" associated with it. Consider that we are coming to the downside of the boating season. You may not have access to any of the maintenance history and it is 8 years old. Do more homework and let your wallet be your guide.

Bob ;)
