Hi Guys, New to the Forum. I have purchased a 94 90hp Force from a dealer that was traded in on a 4 stroke. My old reliable 70 hp johnson finally gave up the ghost after 29 great years, cracked block. Had to have something quick & found this. Got a 30 day warranty on it & it looks like it's going to be that long before they get it running properly. The 1st day I had it out it dropped #2 cylinder & hasn't fired since. They have replaced the coil & wire so far with no results. Probably the pack or the trigger. Anyway, Has anyone ever run this engine or know anything about it as what to look for as far as any little quirks & stuff? From what I've read I may have bought a turkey, HA,HA. Any comments would be appreciated good or bad! Thanks, Scotty:cool:

Re: 1994 90hp Force Info

Its a decent engine when tuned right.
Reliable unit for the most part.

A new impeller and fuel pump diaphram are a must.

Get a copy of the Clymer repair manual, or a factory manual and troubleshoot the ignition. Or use that 30 day warranty and make them fix it. Of course they will have it in the shop for 3 months. :(
