I checked the wires and power pack, checked the idle screw. It seems when I run at idle speed or just above to keep it running in my driveway for 2 or 3 minutes and shut it off, black looking oil runs down the motor on to the ground, I can't see where it is coming from but it is running all the way from the cowling so it is coming out of the motor somewhere, maybe it is not recirculating it like it should. This motor runs great wide open and on down till I get to idle speed. Also, I don't see a timing adjustment screw anywhere?

yo, 5string.....check clanton's suggestions first. if no luck, try...
-hows compression?
-to rule out weak ignition at idle, install spark tester on each cylinder,(one at a time)(set to 3/8")(bright blue-white spark needed)
Spark Tester or similiar...
-the black slime is probably partially burnt oil (intermitent running of engine, not up to temp)(normal if on the hose)
-does she smoke when attemting to idle?
-is the primer ball soft when attempting to idle?
-does she run worse if ball squeezed when attemping to idle?
-is this engine VRO? If it is, have you tried disconnecting and capping the oil connector and running 50:1 pre-mix? does this run better?

Hope this helps....
-20F up here...
:(
