Hey guys,
I have a 1994 200 HP Johnson Offshore series, and I am trying to figure out what the compression readings should be. I would appreciate any help. Thanks

anything under 100 you may want to be concerned about but if youre reading 95 on all cylinders then i wouldnt worry much....what you should be concerned about is that they are all within 15psi of each other

The biguns run lower compression, especially the commercials.
The service manuals don't list it.

That motor has some pretty high exhaust port timing, that's where it gets the torque from. Depending on what heads you have it may be all 90. The actual number doesn't matter as long as they're all within 15 lbs. Don't be shocked if one side is consistantly higher by a few pounds than the other side.

Thanks, I checked it and port side was: 105,100,100,and star was: 110,105,105. Pretty good, right?
