One of my friends had some problems this week with his 200 Yamaha. Motor was running rough, so when he came in, he pulled the plugs. One of them was fouled with salt build up. He took it to a local marina and they replaced the head gasket. He took it out and still seems to have the same problem with salt water intrusion into the cylinder. I never got to see the head, but could it be a crack in the head ??? The only other place I can think of it coming in is the exhaust port, but wouldn't know how or why. Anyone have any ideas what it might be ??? Thanks

could be. could also be the exhaust plate has a hole in it. on rare occasions I see holes in the block into the crankcase area.
